Primate Technologies has licensed AT&T's Natural Voices for Server for deployment in GridGuardian™. GridGuardian is a software product designed and built by Primate Technologies Inc. (P-Tech). GridGuardian is an "Information Integrator" that notifies appropriate operations and maintenance personnel based upon status changes, analog value changes outside a defined deadband, or important alarm, event or program messages. Additionally, GridGuardian can notify people if status points have not changed within a configurable interval, or if alarms have not been received in a timely manner. GridGuardian notifies personnel via email, a text or voice message to a beeper, telephone, cellular telephone, personal digital assistant (PDA), audible annunciator, and/or answering machine. GridGuardian launches external programs, executes JavaScript code, and streams sound files through the server's sound card. GridGuardian executes as a standalone software product receiving initial notification from one or more Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, Distribution Management Systems (DMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
