Chris Spencer - Chairman of the Board, CEO, President
Spencer has served as the CEO and president of Wizzard Software since its founding in 1996. He is responsible for the overall direction of the company and was selected as one of the top 20 most influential individuals in the speech recognition industry by Speech Technology Magazine. His business experience is widely varied, including the founding and CEO roles with ChinaWire, Inc. and Lotto USA, Inc. He also was involved in the founding, acquisition of financing, operation and ultimate sale of John Valiant, Inc. Spencer sits on the Board of Directors of Cennoid Technologies, a software company that develops encryption and compression software for the Internet. He attended West Virginia University. John Busshaus - Director - Chief Financial Officer Prior to joining Wizzard, Busshaus acted as an independent business consultant, guiding organizations through the implementation of Sarbanes Oxley, assisting with the filing of SEC reports and taking companies through an IPO. Mr. Busshaus previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of Talanga International, where he assisted in daily operations of the company, in addition to leading accounting and finance efforts. He also worked for Mellon Financial Institution as Controller and Vice President, where his responsibilities included annual and strategic planning within Global Security Services. David Mansueto - Director Mansueto has been serving as a director for Wizzard's most recent acquisition, Liberated Syndication, since the founding of the business in 2004. Mansueto handles creative planning and strategic decision making for Liberated Syndication and the newly formed Wizzard Media. From 2004 to 2007, Mansueto founded and ran Liberated Syndication, the largest podcast hosting business in the world. From 2001 to 2004, he was engaged in the performance and digital arts, and produced many performance series in the Pittsburgh area including a regular public access talk show that featured local artists, entrepreneurs and politicians. In 2000, Mansueto co-created Emayhem.com, one of the web's first user generated online communities. In 1996, he attended the University of Pittsburgh to study theatre, film and music. He was awarded the top prize at the American College Theatre Festival for his sound design work on the premiere stage production of The Hudsucker Proxy. In 1995, Mansueto was employed at Blue House Productions, a Washington D.C. based music studio. Greg Smith - Director Smith is an award-winning producer and entrepreneur with over 10 years of significant experience in television. In 2000, Smith established The Solution Film Group, LLC and acts as the Company's President. Smith provides professional production and editorial support for various forms of non-fiction television entertainment, including the direction of media projects from development through production and post-production. His clients include Discovery Channel, Science Channel, Animal Planet, The Military Channel and PBS. Smith most recently won an Emmy in 2006 for the Discovery Channel's animated special Before the Dinosaurs. His other awards for excellence in production and editing include Emmy's for the Discovery Channel's Walking with Prehistoric Beasts and Allosaurus: A Walking with Dinosaurs Special. Smith's current projects include the BBC's Horizon/Big Science series. Smith graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University. Douglas Polinsky - Director Polinsky serves as the President of Great North Capital Corp. , a Minnesota-based financial services company he founded in 1995. Great North advises corporate clients on capital formation and other transaction-related financial matters. Polinsky has been involved in financing transactions totalling in excess of $200 million throughout his career and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Denis Yevstifevey - Director
Yevstifeyev is a CPA who currently serves as a Sr. Financial Reporting Analyst for American Eagle Outfitters, in Pittsburgh, PA. His duties include: preparing and analysing various internal and external financial reports and preparing the Company's SEC filings. Prior to this position, he acted for two years as an Internal Auditor for Schneider Downs, Inc. , where he assisted the Company with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance engagements. Yevstifeyev graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Washington and Jefferson University. He also graduated with honors from the Moscow Bank College of the Central Bank of Russia in Moscow with a degree in Finance.
Jim Else - VP of Advertising Sales, Wizzard Media
Before coming to Wizzard, Jim Else led a distinguished 20-year career as an advertising executive for Time, Inc. where he most recently acted as the Senior Vice President for Time4 Media, a multimedia company encompassing magazines, Web sites, television and radio programming, feature films, and events and exhibitions. With a combined monthly audience of over 30 million, Time4 Media publishes some of the nation's biggest and best-known titles such as Field & Stream, SKI, Golf Magazine and Popular Science. In this position, Jim achieved tremendous annual ad revenue growth through aggressive sales strategies and strong leadership. He managed a successful corporate sales and marketing team which maintained many impressive customer-focused relationships with major advertisers like Ford, Pfizer and Merck. While acting as Time Inc. VP of Corporate Sales, Else secured relationships with some of the world's most well-respected companies including General Motors, Nike, IBM and Microsoft, to name a few. He played an important role in the Time Warner/AOL merger serving as a member of the Time Warner Ad Council which created and managed cross marketing and sales initiatives. While working as Time's western corporate accounts director in Los Angeles, Else negotiated advertising agreements with a number of leading brands including Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Apple Computer.
Rob Walch - VP of Podcaster Relations, Wizzard Media
Prior to joining Wizzard Media, Rob Walch was President and founder of podCast411, Inc. Additionally Rob is Co-Author of the book "Tricks of the Podcasting Masters", which was an editors pick as a Top 10 Reference book for 2006 by Amazon.com. Rob was listed as the 5th most influential person in podcasting according to the book "Podcasting for Dummies". He has consulted on podcasting for Senator John Edwards, Governor Bill Richardson and the Sacramento Kings/Monarchs to name just a few. He is also a monthly columnist for Blogger and Podcaster Magazine – the first print magazine covering this new media space. In 2004 Rob received his MBA from the University of Connecticut. He also has an Engineering degree from the University of Dayton.
Skip Fredericks - VP of Content Programming, Wizzard Media
Before launching his career in media, Fredricks was a world power boat and national jet ski champion. These pursuits led to his career as a director/producer when he created XSTV for Fox Sports on a shoestring budget, operating out of a garage. Six months later the show went from local cable to national syndication. That success led to numerous other opportunities for Fredricks, including the creation of extreme sports DVDs and games, and directing television commercials and music video, as well as numerous video podcasts. In addition to FOX Sports, Fredricks has produced content for HBO's The Sopranos and Entourage, as well as Universal Pictures. Fredricks' two Emmy nominations resulted from his work on XSTV, which he created in 1998 for Fox Sports. XSTV is television's first and longest running extreme sport lifestyle program, featuring action from around the globe mixed with cutting edge music, fashion, celebrity interviews and more.
John Lisovitch - VP of Business Development, Wizzard Media
Prior to joining Wizzard Media as Vice President Business Development, John led alliance development in North America with Oberon Media, the leader in casual games digital distribution, in New York. He was instrumental in identifying and winning partnerships among major ISPs, web portals, cable operators, telcos, affinity sites, and high-traffic destinations. Client wins included Comcast, Verizon, Lycos, Playboy Enterprises, a number of IAC Interactive properties, and a host of others. Prior to joining Oberon he was Director, Business Development for Icon Nicholson New York, the U.S. headquarters for Amsterdam-based IconMediaLab, a global high-end web development, applications, and systems integrator. Clients included the Holy See Internet Commission and the Vatican Museums; the Benetton Group in Treviso, Italy; AOL; and Honeywell. Previous experiences range from development of web properties for NCAA National Championship Football games to promotions for Children's Television Work Shop and Sesame Street; communications support for IBM and Sun Microsystems to public relations for the Philadelphia Phillies major league baseball team. A journalism graduate of Penn State University, John was also an officer in the U.S. Army providing Psychological Operations support to the Royal Thai government in Bangkok.
Bruce Phifer - General Manager - Technology & Services Division Prior to joining Wizzard, Phifer spent the last 30 years with IBM acting in a variety of management positions in emerging business areas. From 1983 to 1991, Phifer managed Service, Market Research, and Planning while on the headquarters staff that shaped IBM's Personal Computer strategies. From 1994 to 2003, he held business development and OEM sales positions in the speech recognition and pervasive computing business areas. He has been the recipient of many IBM formal awards for excellence and sales performance. Phifer attended Drexel Institute of technology in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Electronics Training Center in New Jersey. Lilith Rugel - Director of Operations, Wizzard Media
Lilith Rugel brings with her over 8 years of direct marketing and management experience. Previously, Rugel was an Associate Director of Client Services with Harte-Hanks, responsible for providing data services to Harte-Hanks clients including consumer and business data processing. She had overall responsibility for team members and client relationships and was ultimately responsible for client satisfaction with Harte-Hanks. Prior to a role in senior management with Harte-Hanks, Rugel managed one of the company's most profitable accounts as a Major Account Manager, where she continued to grow, establishing excellent working relationships as well as superior client services skills. She also partook in the development of a large response analysis program that is still being used today to track and develop effective marketing strategies. In her career prior to Harte-Hanks, Rugel managed a customer service call center for MCIWorldcom, where she oversaw a successful call center of approximately 30 customer service representatives. Rugel is a graduate of University of Maryland Baltimore County with a BA in BioPsychology.
