| Dakine Wave is an innovative new software company that creates virtual reality applications driven by artificial intelligence. Based in the United Kingdom, Dakine Wave is using the AT&T Natural Voices text-to-speech engine in their premiere application, VirtualStage. VirtualStage enables people to develop their own 3-D animated desktop virtual reality through the creation of characters that perform original dramas, stage plays and movies. VirtualStage offers a variety of AT&T's Natural Voices to provide different voices for each character. The actors' dialogue is typed in and turned into audio using this powerful text-to-speech engine. The user can then begin directing virtual performances, including creating actions and gestures for the virtual actors as well as designing sets and movie locations. The various scenes can be edited and replayed and a screenplay or script based on the directions and narratives can be generated. |
