About AT&T
Since introducing the first synthesized speech system in 1939, AT&T has been a world speech technology pioneer. Their pioneering has continued with the introduction of the highest quality and most robust Text-To-Speech (TTS) systems available anywhere. This exciting technology produces a very realistic human-sounding synthetic speech system, which can produce substantial savings simply by automating applications or services that previously required heavy staffing and expertise. Available in multiple voices (called fonts) and multiple languages - always with the highest standards of quality and intelligibility.

Create Applications that Speak using AT&T Natural Voices
AT&T Natural Voices is highly flexible and can pronounce words exactly the way you want it to. The engine includes language and voice-specific custom dictionaries that enable users to define the pronunciation of certain words. Users can also customize how the engine reads certain acronyms and abbreviations, and adjust the speaking rate, volume and voice. This technology is highly used in applications (such as e-books) where the most natural-sounding voices are critical to user acceptance. Offerings from Wizzard Software include an AT&T Software Developers Kit (SDK) for internal development use and Licensed Runtime Packages for distribution with your product.
Licensing
AT&T Natural Voices is licensed in two steps. The first step is to select an SDK and purchase the SDK license. This provides the software environment for internal development and testing. Each SDK comes with your choice of one voice font, and additional fonts are available for a one time charge of $50.00. The second step is to purchase a license to internally deploy or externally distribute Runtimes (engine etc) and /or the audio files produced by the engine. Please note that all types of deployment/distribution require licensing. The most common categories are runtime deployment within an enterprise, runtime distribution with a voice enabled product, or audio broadcasting/distribution of audio files via a website or other means. Wizzard offers licensing models and packages to cover a wide spectrum of scenarios.
